Where To Go for Summer Entertainment in Myrtle Beach

Our summer guests regularly ask us for advice on the best and most fun places to go during their vacation in North Myrtle Beach. We want all our guests to enjoy our area’s many attractions and activities, and to leave the beach with lasting memories.

There are shopping, dining, and entertainment hubs located in both Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach that are always a hit with out-of-towners. Myrtle Beach’s Broadway at the Beach is a one-stop mega-attraction that features Ripley’s Aquarium, speedboat rides on the water, Dragon’s Lair mini golf, MagiQuest, a movie theater, theme restaurants, carnival rides and an array of shops and stores. Celebrity Square is a section of Broadway especially famous for its nightlife, with several individual nightclubs and bars inviting you inside to enjoy drinks, food, music and dancing. The nearby Palace Theater is known for its variety, musical and magic shows throughout the season.  Barefoot Landing is also a popular place to see a variety of entertainment, along with unique shops and restaurants. Located in North Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing is also home to the House of Blues and Alabama Theatre, for those who want to take in a variety show or live performance. Both Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing offer free fireworks shows throughout the summer season.

The Carolina Opry is a Myrtle Beach entertainment tradition, and is a must-see for those looking for a fun night out and wholesome entertainment. With nightly summer shows and matinees, it’s easy to fit a show into your vacation schedule. Legends in Concert brings all your favorite stars to one place, with first-class impersonators taking on classic songs and performances. Pirates Voyage is a perfect choice for kids, with live actors putting on a fantastic display of acrobatics, pyrotechnics, and fun crowd participation. There are also countless venues where you can find live music, comedy, and entertainment to add more excitement to your trip.

Don’t forget to check out our website for a list of local activities to check out, and ask an Ocean Drive staff member for suggestions when you check in to your rental property.
