New Sports Complex Comes to North Myrtle Beach

The Myrtle Beach area is a bustling tourism hub, with families coming in from all over the world to experience the beaches, entertainment, attractions, golf, and shopping. There are also sporting events and tournaments that bring baseball and basketball teams and their families to Myrtle Beach every year. Sports tourism is a growing segment of the tourism industry, and the city of North Myrtle Beach is hard at work on a brand new park and sports complex that, when finished, will rival any other in the nation.

At the busy intersection of Highway 31 and Robert Edge Parkway, a vast tract of land is being developed into a landmark location for college and high school teams to compete, and the local community to enjoy. Besides the eight soccer/lacrosse/football fields, six baseball diamonds and playground, there will also be an amphitheater, dog park, picnic shelters, and a 27-acre lake. Vacationers and locals alike will love the new North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex, and the local economy will enjoy the benefits of the boost in visitors.

If you are part of a competitive sports team or looking for another family activity for your vacation, be sure to check out the new complex, to be completed in February 2014. You’ll need accommodations for your trip, and all Ocean Drive Beach Rentals’ properties are within minutes of the complex. Some families will want to combine their family vacation with a baseball or basketball tournament. We have the perfect properties for those groups, from beautiful oceanfront condos to large beach houses. Call us to plan your trip!
