On the Road to North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach is an easy destination to reach by car travel from most Eastern U.S. cities. Many people find it cheaper to take a road trip than buy expensive plane tickets. You'll save money by driving your own car to Grand Strand attractions that are all a short drive down the road from your vacation rental.

Highway life is not all that boring. Many families use the several hours as quality bonding time. Take along portable DVD players and a few great movies, and North Myrtle Beach doesn't seem that far away from home. Books, hand-held video games, and Ipods are sometimes all children need to stay occupied.

Estimated Eastern U.S. Driving Times:

Atlanta, Georgia: 6 1/2 hours

Beautiful day for a stroll along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk!

Summer nights, through September 3rd, enjoy the free nightly events as part of Ocean Boulevard’s Hot Summer Nights at Plyler Park on the Boardwalk. Your family will enjoy a carnival-style beachfront atmosphere full of concerts, fireworks, and street performers. Each night of the week features a different theme! Stop by the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel to take in breathtaking views of the oceanfront and the Boulevard from 200 feet above the beach.

Come see why Myrtle Beach’s Boardwalk was ranked as #3 on National Geographic’s list of the Top Ten Boardwalks in the Nation. Ocean Boulevard has been completely revived because of this downtown addition. There is plenty to see and do for the whole family!
