Christmas Regatta

The 25th Annual Christmas Regatta is being held this Saturday, in North Myrtle Beach, along the Intracoastal Waterway. The holiday boat parade begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Little River Inlet and travels south, arriving at Dock Holiday's Marina at approximately 7:00 p.m. Regatta-goers can catch a great view along the waterway at several different viewing areas.

As always, the regatta's goal is to continue its work in helping the children of Horry County with basic needs as well as providing each child with a Christmas gift on Christmas morning. People are encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at various dropoff points or monetary gifts are graciously accepted as well. And "Santa's Angels" don't forget the four-legged members of our community either. Donations of pet food and pet supplies are collected and given to local humane societies.

Many restaurants along the parade route offer specials on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to correspond with the regatta. Visit the regatta's website at http://www.christmasregatta.com to get more information on this spectacular holiday event you won't want to miss!
